unhurried explorers

Lazy Sunday, wake up in the late afternoon
Call Parnell just to see how he's doing
Hello, What up Parn?
Samberg, what's crackin'?
You thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?
Narnia! Man it's happenin'!

But first my hunger pains are sticking like duct tape
Let's hit up Magnolia and mack on some cupcakes
Yo man that bakery has got all da bomb frosting
I love those cupcakes like McAdams loves Josling (Josling, Josling.....)

2, no 6, no 12, BAKER's DOZEN!
I told you that I'm crazy for these cupcakes cousin

I told Justin on Saturday night that it's hard for me not to feel guilty when my leisurely weekend day sounds like a vacation itinerary. He claims to have no such problem.

Saturday we set out to hit Magnolia Bakery and the Children's Museum of Manhattan. As a few bonuses while we were out, Lucy and I walked through Zabar's market (You've Got Mail), and a lovely bead shop where I designed a new bracelet/earrings set for myself while Justin and Amelia had a Daddy-Daughter trip to the museum. We were having so much fun that we walked south about forty blocks down Broadway.

After a power nap in the stroller, Amelia hopped out and tackled a playground in Central Park and we strolled by Juilliard, Carnegie Hall, the Russian Tea Room, The Late Show, Hello Deli and many of the Broadway theaters before catching the train back home. Our kids were happy and either quiet or napping, so we sipped on Starbucks and just enjoyed being in our new city, unhurried explorers making it up as we went.
