off the map

I've been off the map for a few days. Occasionally I'll have a trigger event that probably don't even register on anyone else's radar, but to me it is an alarm that sounds. Last week's was telling me that my time and energy needed some redirection. I spent several days looking at what's working, what's not working, what's next, and I'm rearranging my routines a bit to make more time for personal correspondence and my writing projects.

But it's all been difficult to sort through in the midst of popping Excedrin Migraine tablets like I own stock in the company. Did you ever notice that Excedrin Migraine and Excedrin Extra Strength have identical ingredients? I get the worst headaches in the humidity and I can't tell if they are caused by allergies or dehydration. Today I can't even find the bottle, so I'm hitting the iced coffee to at least get the caffeine component.

We're looking forward to visiting some friends at the beach soon. It will be nice to get out of the city for the first time in four months. Then we may have a revolving door of visitors until Amelia starts school after Labor Day. September will be here before I know it. I'll be checking in when I can.
